Use click heat maps and campaign breakdowns

For project owners Updated 28 September 2026

Where

Analytics then Click heat map and Campaigns

See where point interactions concentrate and compare supplied campaign labels.

Steps

  1. Choose the analytics date range.
  2. In Click heat map, select the published background.
  3. Select a hotspot to see its click count and compare it with the legend.
  4. For campaign-labelled traffic, use a viewer link with an appropriate utm_campaign value.
  5. Return to Analytics to review the campaign section when events exist.

Expected result

The heat map visualises point and shape clicks at current published positions. Campaign breakdowns show collected campaign names.

Tips and limits

This is not a cursor-motion or eye-tracking heat map. Shape clicks appear at their centre; moved or removed points can make past positions differ. Campaign labels and referrers are limited by how the viewer is opened or embedded. No campaign-to-sale attribution is provided. Background views are also shown in an interactive chart, and Point performance has visual bars plus a detailed figures table.

Effect on the published viewer

Reporting only. It uses the current published layout and stored events.
