Create a Google Map background
Where
Map then Backgrounds then Add Google Map
Show geographic satellite imagery as a background for a development plan and its points.
Steps
- Choose Add Google Map in Backgrounds.
- Wait for the satellite map to load and open Map settings.
- Enter a location as latitude, longitude, or use address search when its API is enabled.
- Choose Find location and adjust the map framing.
- Choose Save starting view.
- Add your overlay or records and publish when the layout is ready.
Expected result
The project has a geographic satellite or hybrid background managed through Prevue.
Tips and limits
Prevue manages the Google connection centrally. Ordinary project users do not enter their own API keys. If address search is unavailable, enter coordinates instead. Maps need network access and Google’s attribution remains visible.
Effect on the published viewer
Publish to add the map and its saved settings to the public viewer.
